Office blinds help to create a cohesive brand environment and enhance employee wellbeing and productivity. Glare from the sun and heat generated by its rays are common issues in the office, demanding a good shading solution. In this article, we discuss the best office window blinds and provide a brief overview of why our commercial blinds are so popular.

Roller blinds

Roller blinds are simple to use and allow employees to control the level of shading by lowering or raising the blind. In contrast with vertical blinds and Venetian blinds, roller blinds consist of one unbroken roll of blind fabric. A wide range of fabrics is available which provide a high level of control over the amount of light that passes through the blind.

Commercial roller blinds have been a top choice for office fit-outs for decades. They tick all the boxes that a company may look for when assessing options. They’re easy to install, affordable and look great. Another bonus is that if they are made by a trusted manufacturer like Yewdale, commercial roller blinds are incredibly durable and long-lasting.

Vertical blinds

Commercial vertical blinds are also very popular in offices, especially ones with floor-to-ceiling windows. Tall blind slats, also known as louvres, hang vertically across the window. These blind slats can be tilted to control the amount of light entering the room.

Commercial vertical blinds provide offices with a premium feel that many people prefer over roller blinds. Vertical blinds are well-suited to environments where privacy is needed, making them popular in ground-floor offices.

Venetian blinds

Commercial Venetian blinds have increased in popularity in recent years, finding their way into more commercial offices. Much like vertical blinds, Venetian blinds also have blind slats. The difference is that Venetian blind slats are horizontal and less suited to floor-to-ceiling windows.

We produce two overall types of Venetian blind, with over 80 colours and textures to choose from. Our commercial Venetian blinds will look great with any office’s colour scheme, reinforcing a company’s branding. We supply colour-coordinated headrails, bottom bars, ladders and cords to ensure that complete consistency is achieved.

Our VN25 Venetian blind is controlled by a wand and cord, whereas our VN25S is a mono chain Venetian blind. Customers love our mono chain Venetian blind because the whole system is controlled by one mechanism.

Commercial blinds

Our commercial blinds are installed in a huge range of environments including hospitality, retail, education and healthcare.

We recently ran a poll to find out which type of blind was best in the eyes of our customers. The results were as follows:

1. The roller blind received the highest number of votes

2. The Venetian blind finished second

3. The vertical blind picks up the bronze medal
