    Executive Sales Assistant

    Yewdale’s sales team is the driving force behind our business, and we need a confident, positive person be on the frontline to communicate with customers, investigate and resolve account queries and manage the project enquiry database.  

    You’ll be the face and voice of our brand, helping to spread our core values and exceptional customer service.  

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • One of the frontline communicators; answering the phones, responding to the online customer service chat and being able to assist customers with queries and enquiries via email
    • Satisfactorily resolve all customer disputes by going above and beyond their expectations
    • Update customers with any changes to their order
    • Set up discounts for customers on our Blindata system
    • Investigate account queries to confirm credit amount
    • Administrate the logging of project enquiries
    • Organise YewdaleKestrel® (anti-ligature products) training courses
    • Be a backup for all sales roles in response to team absence
    • Assist with ways to improve the customer experience

    Management Accountant

    Permanent Housekeeper

    We’re looking for a housekeeper to take on the day-to-day cleaning tasks at Yewdale, in the offices, factory and warehouse, across three separate units, to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment for the benefit of all staff and visitors at Yewdale. 

    The successful candidate will be required to work between 6-8 hours per day, and we can offer flexibility for these hours to be worked between 2:15pm – 11:15pm, Monday to Friday.

    It is essential that you have a meticulous approach to cleanliness and hygiene, in order to contribute towards ensuring Yewdale remains COVID-19 secure. Your working practices must adhere with our H&S policies and practices.

    A minimum of 12 months cleaning experience is essential, preferably in a factory environment.

    Production Operative - Night Shift (9.30pm - 6.00am)

    Our in-house factory is the heartbeat of Yewdale, and our production teams are key to our success - providing our customers with the high-quality products we are renowned for.

    We currently have a position available within our 9.30 pm - 6.00 am shift, Monday - Friday with an annual salary of £22,200 (£10.67 per hour).

    We have three key areas in our production factory, each with its own departments. Each area needs to rely on another to progress an order from the office to production, through to delivery - teamwork and a positive work ethic is essential to thriving in this role.

    Depending on the needs of the company as it grows, you will be working in any one of our 14 departments within goods-in and picking, assembly, packing and dispatch - each requiring some manual handling and lifting. 

    We offer opportunities for multi-skilled training throughout the departments, you may be cutting steel, assembling a roller blind, quality testing or packing for delivery, the possibilities are endless.  After full training, you will be required to operate machineries such as cherry pickers, pillar drills, saws and more.

    If you can work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, work to a deadline, and have strong communication skills, then you’re an ideal candidate for us. Under the guidance of our Senior Operatives, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills – and have fun doing it!

    Credit Controller

    Our finance team are looking for a Credit Controller to join and play an active role within the business. You’ll be in charge of customer payments and credit accounts, managing and processing all debt recovery and need a keen eye to spot debt risks.

    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for running the credit control function in line with the company debtor policy
    • Identify overdue accounts and chase as appropriate
    • Liaise with relevant departments to resolve customer queries
    • Log all invoice queries on Goldvision CRM
    • Seek approval for customer credits and raise credits on the system as required
    • Ownership of the debtor’s ledger to ensure credits, unallocated cash and historic debts are cleared
    • Manage the orders on credit hold and on stop accounts as per debtor policy
    • Responsibility for processing and managing all debt recovery through legal
    • Issue chase letters where required
    • Identify and highlight bad debt risks
    • Take customer payments over the phone
    • Receive cheques in the post, log on to the system and bank
    • Issue statements twice a month on 20th and 2nd
    • Process new account applications from initial receipt to opening/refusal within 2 working days
    • Enter the cash receipts from the bank daily in the morning onto the Sales Ledger
    • Manage and review the accounts email inbox and resolve customer queries
    • Deal with incoming customer account communications and any associated follow up work
    • Review and manage customer credit limits
    • Prepare and submit to the Head of Finance the write off for accounts that meet the required criteria
    • Continually review the debtor policy to ensure we remain compliant and up to date for risk mitigation
    • Ensure customer contact details are kept up to date
    • Prepare and report on credit control metrics monthly/quarterly
    • Provide all metrics for daily KPI by 8:30 am
    • Answer finance telephone calls and ensure queries are actioned
    • Receive and issue post daily
    • Assist in other areas of the finance department as required
    • Cover for finance team holidays as and when required
    • Ensure desktop procedure guides are up to date for each of your processes
