YewdaleKestrel® products must be fitted by a qualified professional with an up to date training certificate and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Failure to do so could jeopardise the product’s effectiveness as an anti-ligature system. All installations must be tested when complete to ensure the downward force does not exceed the maximum nor is it breaking under below normal force. It is highly recommended that sign off with proof of testing is issued to the client after installation.
To find out more about YewdaleKestrel® training and how to become an approved installer, see our training courses or chat to us on +44 (0)1268 570900.
Magnetic fixings ensure that assemblies separate safely under excessive loads to eliminate ligature risks. All load release systems are designed for maintenance-free operation. All that’s needed is periodic inspection for signs of damage and tampering.
Our anti-ligature products are highly reliable because magnets don't lose their strength for hundreds of years, guaranteeing a lifetime of lifesaving functionality.
We design and produce other anti-ligature products too, including a soft, lightweight en-suite door and other accessories such as soap dispensers, toilet roll holders, shelves and anti-ligature artwork. Ultimately, our anti-ligature products help mental health trusts prevent suicide by replacing items that are commonly used as ligature points with safe, anti-ligature alternatives.
