Introducing our new square headbox for the YewdaleDefiant® range of cassette blinds. You can now order any blind from our cassette range and select a square headbox instead of the rounded one which comes as standard.

Square headbox for cassette blinds

As shown in the image above, our square headboxes provide a contemporary appearance which is well-suited to modern offices and other workplaces.

Installing cassette blinds

The cassette blind's headbox and side channels are defining features which separate it from a standard roller blind. Our new installation method is inspired by a football goal and involves connecting the side channels and headbox. The blind can then be lifted as a frame and installed via the side channels.

We modified our end plates to allow the side channels to be securely screwed into the headbox. We have nicknamed this method the goalpost installation. It's simple and effective, reducing installation times without compromising the quality of the blind.

Learn how to install cassette blinds

We invite you to join our cassette blinds training course, which we will run every month at our London showroom. It's the ideal opportunity to learn how to install cassette blinds with side channels using our new goalpost installation. You will also be shown how to install an overhead cassette blind and programme the electric motor for simple operation.
