We enjoyed being part of the Design in Mental Health event again last week. This year we saw an increased number of specialist exhibitors adding their weight to the growing support for improving standards within the mental health industry.
On our stand we were showcasing 3 new concepts, Lightweight magnets, Safedoor for windows and Coloured backing plates.
Lightweight magnetIn order to cater for the increasing requirement of protection of persons with eating disorders, such as anorexia, we have introduced a new lightweight magnet designed to breakaway at a lower weight loading than our standard YewdaleKestrel® magnets.
Coloured backing platesIn order to compliment the décor in more environments as well as provide a better suited product for dementia patients, these mounting back-plates are now available in any colour (subject to order quantity). Available in 3 sizes, they provide an anti-ligature solution for many usually-fixed products such as soap and towel dispensers.
SafeDoor® for windowsHarnessing the SafeDoor® principle yet utilising the homely look of window shutters, why not remove your risk completely? A perfect choice for you to provide an acceptable level of privacy and dignity. Its external surface can be printed on to suit the décor of the close environment. Very simple to install.
